WHAT IS CTV?
Staten Island Community Television (SICTV) is Staten Island's Public Access System. CTV exists to provide training, facilities, and access to Channel space on Time Warner Cable's Staten Island System.


WHO PRODUCES CTV’S PROGRAMMING?
Local Volunteers produce the bulk of programs aired on CTV. Volunteer producers are Staten Island residents or individuals associated with Staten Island based not-for-profit groups, they have completed appropriate training at CTV to gain "PRODUCER" status.

CAN I BECOME A CTV PRODUCER?
If you live in Staten Island or if you are affiliated with a Staten Island based not-for-profit group, and you're over the age of 18, you are eligiible to become a CTV Volunteer Produce, children in 7th through 12th grades may also be eligible if accompanied by an adult. That adult would assume responsibility for that minor.

DOES IT COST MONEY TO AIR A PROGRAM ON CTV?
Access to channel space and equipment use is offered FREE of charge. Certain training is necessary to operate CTV's Studio and Portable equipment and there are training fees associated with these classes, see our training schedule for more information. There is no substitute for CTV Authorized Training.

WHAT CAN I AIR ON CTV?
Use of channel space on CTV is strictly for non-commercial use. Shows may not, at any time, include the contact information for a for-profit entity. Neither CTV nor Time Warner may regulate content but all programming must conform to local and federal decency standards, Please refer to the FCC's regulations in this matter: http://www.fcc.gov/eb/broadcast/obscind.html

HOW CAN I BECOME ELIGIBLE TO AIR A SERIES OF SHOWS ON CTV?
Once a Volunteer Producer has a track record of providing programs that adhere to all technical and content standards in a timely and consistant manner, they may become eligible to become a Series Producer. A CTV Season last for 26 weeks and all applications for series status are reviewed and honored on a first-com, first served basis.
